Aman-i-Khás (combining aman, meaning "peace," in Sanskrit, and khás, meaning "special" in Urdu and Hindi) is an exclusive wilderness camp set in the rugged hills of Rajasthan on the outskirts of Ranthambhore National Park. The luxury tents are set in a quiet rural area that borders one of the world's finest tiger reserves.
Wild tigers by day, serenity, starlit skies, and fine dining by night - A safari outpost on the threshold of Ranthambore National Park, Aman-i-Khas opens minds and hearts to the prospect of living well in the midst of incredible nature. Daily Jeep safaris promise glimpses of tigers among myriad wildlife encounters. Back at camp, spa therapies, sleeping, and dining occur under soaring, candlelit canopies inspired by Mughal hunting parties old. Each tent is assigned an experienced batman, who accompanies guests into the jungle, along the River Chambal, and to temples and cultural sites - all rich material for storytelling come nightfall when the firepit glows under a magical starlit sky.
Open from October through May each year, the best season for wildlife spotting, Aman-i-Khás is a wilderness camp located in a rugged brushwood forest on the fringes of Ranthambore National Park. The resort offers accommodation in 10 luxury air-conditioned tents, each with soaring canopies draped in the Moghul style, with three separate tents for dining, spa treatments, and relaxing. Twice-daily, guided excursions take guests into the park to spot indigenous games, including tigers, leopards, hyenas, crocodiles, and chital deer.
On the outskirts of Ranthambore National Park, the camp's ten expansive tents overlook a ruggedly beautiful landscape home to abundant wildlife. Positioned to ensure utmost privacy, the Tents offer soaring living spaces decorated with classic furnishings. The light-filled bathing area features a free-standing bathtub and shower, while the living room has twin writing desks.
The Dining Tent's lamp-lit ambiance, with its large communal round table and smaller intimate tables, harks back to the regal tent cities of Mughal emperors. Meals can be tailored to suit individual tastes. The daily changing menu reflects seasonal produce sourced from the camp's organic garden, which the chef delights in touring with curious guests.
Wellness & Spa Experiences at Aman-i-Khas - Centred around a bubbling fountain, the spa's two treatment rooms feature holistic therapies distilled from millennia of experience in the healing arts. Multi-sensory journeys of traditional Ayurvedic wisdom are offered alongside massages, Reiki's gentle healing touch, and various scrubs, wraps, and baths. Outdoor yoga sessions revitalize, and the lounger-lined pool is modeled on the area's ancient step wells.
A Mughal-style tented camp, Aman-i-Khás, is located in a rugged brushwood forest on the edge of Ranthambore National Park. Home to tigers, crocodiles, leopards, jackals, sambar deer, and some 300 species of bird, the park is also the setting for Ranthambore Fort, one of India's oldest, and is near Khandar Fort, perhaps the country's most dramatic. Through villages on the park's outskirts, camel safaris are available, as are bird-watching treks in the lush Banas riverbed.
