Amanbagh

Marvel at Mughal tradition in a remote valley of rural Rajasthan - Only 90 minutes from frenetic Jaipur, Amanbagh lies within reach of Sariska National Park, and its protected tigers, in rural Rajasthan. Mughal princes once used Amanbagh's compound as a base for hunting parties. The vestiges of this decadent past can be discerned in today's palatial suites, carved from pink marble and sandstone and topped with graceful cupolas. Beyond the lush gardens, welcoming villages, unique dining experiences, cultural sites, and incredible wildlife invite deeper exploration of this ancient land.

Amanbagh sits in isolation amidst the arid Aravalli Hills near Alwar in northern India. The region is rich in early Hindu history, dating to the dawn of Hindu civilization. The region's topography consists of sandy plains interspersed with craggy hills and knolls, in stark contrast to the setting for Amanbagh - a lush oasis. The resort is every bit a modern-day "palace," conceived in the present, but humbly paying homage to the traditional architecture and design that has prevailed throughout the past.

The resort comprises a main building that rises over three levels. On the first level is the arrival area that leads to the reception hall and onto a shaded court, bordered on one side by the Dining Room and on the other, by the Lounge. Rising from the reception area is a sweeping staircase that leads to the Library and an outdoor terrace. Two external staircases lead to the Roof Terrace, elevated above a canopy of trees and sweeping views over the surrounding landscape. Beyond the main building are a swimming pool, informal dining area, and spa pool, all set within landscaped grounds.

There are four categories of accommodation at Amanbagh. Eight Courtyard Haveli Rooms are located on the ground level of two two-story structures on either side of the swimming pool. Located on the ground level are eight Garden Haveli Rooms. Eight Terrace Haveli Rooms are located on the upper level of the two two-story structures. Access to each is via a staircase that leads to private terraced courtyards, each with an outdoor dining area, daybed, and two sun loungers. Sixteen Pool Pavilions are located on the resort's perimeter and offer their own private swimming pool and spacious garden.

Suites & Pavilions at Amanbagh - Set in an oasis of fruit trees and flowering shrubs, Amanbagh's Suites offer a cool and welcoming contrast to the stark, arid beauty of Rajasthan's Aravalli Hills.

Dining Experiences at Amanbagh - Restaurants are open to guests and non-residents. The regal, high-ceilinged Restaurant, looking out over the tree-shaded pool, serves seasonal menus centered on the harvest from the resort's 8,000-square-metre organic gardens. Traditional Rajasthani dishes mix with the chef's favorites from across India, all of which can be tailored to suit individual tastes, to a backdrop of local musicians performing Indian folk and popular songs

Seek A Shit - With an Individually Tailored Wellness Immersion - Escape to a secret garden estate in India's rugged Aravalli Hills and reconnect within the rose-pink, Mughal-inspired sanctuary that is Amanbagh. A minimum of 4 nights, Amanbagh's three Wellness Immersions, are tailored to individual needs to inspire and promote meaningful change. Whether detoxing for a new lease on life, expanding your yoga and mindfulness practice, or embracing the benefits of an Ayurvedic lifestyle, each Immersion is personalized based on in-depth consultations and wellness screening but is flexible enough to accommodate non-Immersion travel partners without compromising results. Programs include private movement and specialist therapy sessions, spa treatments, and complete nutritional support with personally curated wellness menus.
