Relais Borgo Santo Pietro, a boutique luxury hotel and spa, is located in the heart of Tuscany. The property boasts a 200-acre estate with a "farm to plate" philosophy. The century villa is set within 13 acres of stunning gardens. Each room has been individually designed. They feature antiques, bespoke beds, and hand-painted frescoes. Besides, the hotel garden suites offer this intimacy and ultimate seclusion. Airy and bright interiors lead to private terraces surrounded by lush greenery.
The Borgo Santo Pietro is in Valle Serena, a Tuscany rural countryside near San Gimignano. The vicinity is also relatively flat. The abbey can be reached in a 5-10 minute drive or a half-hour walk. To reach Siena it takes about 45 minutes. Moreover, it takes an hour to get to the nearest airport. Rome takes approximately two hours, and Pisa is closer to three hours. Follonica is 45 minutes away.
A variety of facilities are available. These include a magnificent spa with the estate's Herbal Seed-to-Skin products, lounging areas, and 13 acres of stunning gardens. Two restaurants can also be found here. You can also hike miles through the property.
Moreover, guests can sign up to take part in cooking, flower arrangement, and art classes. There are also tours of the farm, cheese-making demonstrations, beekeeping, and hot air balloon flight. Plus, you can charter a yacht and a helipad. The suites also have a garden for pets.
The hotel features a variety of rooms and suites. Although each room has its unique look and feel, all have antique furnishings and exquisite art pieces. Many also have fireplaces or crystal chandeliers. Freshly cut flowers are provided in all rooms. Also, welcome baskets with fresh fruits and Prosecco are available. Some rooms overlook the Tuscan countryside.
Moreover, all 20 units come with air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, and iPod docks. They also have flat-screen TVs equipped with DVD players. You'll also find minibars, safes, and coffee- or tea-making equipment. While bathrooms may vary from one room to the next, many have marble floors and large walk-in bathtubs. Villa Suites, Superior Rooms, and the Santo Pietro Grande Suite are in the main villa. You will also find Garden Suites throughout the grounds. Superior Rooms include the Sir Vincent Room. It has hill views and uses an excellent color scheme. The San Galgano Room is named after an abbey with a medieval-style mural. Il Vecchio Forno Villa Suites is a large, mostly brick, split-level suite.
Garden Suites have lighter decor and private gardens. La Mora also has a pebble-covered patio area with a stone fountain. It also includes planters with citrus trees. Additionally, La Casa dell'Unicorno has one of the most striking suites. It features a muted color scheme of pale blues and beige. There are also many chandeliers and a deck overlooking a small lawn.
Borgo Santo Pietro's dining room is elegant, especially at Meo Modo. This Michelin-starred restaurant relies upon seasonal produce. Much of it also comes from the property's vegetable gardens. Treehouse Bar lounge area offers a casual dining experience with wood-fired pizzas and grilled meals throughout the day. It also serves wines and cocktails. A wine cellar houses nearly 1,500 wines. Tastings are also possible. Private dining is also available.
This Michelin star restaurant is located in the main house. It offers unique farm-to-plate dining experiences. The season dictates the menu, guided by the produce from the organically-cultivated farm. Moreover, the meat comes from free-range farmers. Plus, the fish arrive from the morning's catch.
Trattoria Sull'Albero was designed around a large oak tree. It features rustic interiors that invoke a spacious tree house. The classic Tuscan menu also features organic ingredients from the farm. It includes fresh vegetables, free-range eggs, and fresh meats. Besides, the cozy wood-burning fire pit is a great place to enjoy a drink. Not to mention the wooden bar and the courtyard with its freshwater infinity pool.
The Trattoria Sull'Albero has an outdoor wooden bar that is open all day, and its inside bar with comfortable fire-side seating. Moreover, the freshwater infinity swimming pool and the green, shaded seating area are great places to relax.
The underground cellar is located below the thirteenth-century villa. It houses close to 1250 labels. Borgo's passion for original production led the hotel to create a wine list. This has been built over years of walking the vineyards and tasting different wines. They choose the most loved wine and those that preserve the culture, history, and tradition of winemaking.
Borgo Santo Pietro holds the Local Farmer's Market at Trattoria Sull'Albero on Monday nights. Sull'Albero has the smell of baked bread or grilled food.
The beautiful selection of food is yours to choose from. You will see your favorite fish grilled in front of your eyes. The hotel also offers live music and a relaxed atmosphere.
Borgo Santo Pietro's healing traditions from medieval times are still evident in its signature range Seed to Skin spa. This spa offers a variety of traditional spa treatments. It also offers a daily ritual that provides a complete five-sense immersion into health and well-being.
Relax and indulge in the spa treatments from beginning to finish. The spa also offers a daily fresh tea infusion made with therapeutic herbs like mint, lemon thyme, and melissa. After a consultation, each session includes an oil ritual in which the client selects an essential oil from the organic oils. It is based on Borgo's signature flowers, including rose, lavender, and neroli.
The private spa rooms have a separate shower, toilet, and heated therapy table. This ensures privacy and comfort. In addition, the spa creates a peaceful atmosphere with controlled room temperature and music to provide complete relaxation and therapy. If the guest wishes to be surrounded by nature, two therapy beds can also be closed in the spa garden.
