The Covid-19 pandemic has hit the tourism industry very hard. The two hotels, the Six Senses Duxton and the Six Senses Maxwell have closed down by end of May. Both boutique hotels only opened 2 years ago. With the pandemic also the end came for this two boutique hotels. Both hotels were very popular with guests who were looking for a oasis in the middle of the big city.
It is still unclear whether the hotels will be taken over and reopened under a different name or become apartments.
