Inverlochy Castle Hotel is a beautiful 19th-century castle surrounded by the luscious green of the evergreen trees and the sparkling blue from the nearby loch. During a trip to Balmoral in 1873, Queen Victoria spent a week at Inverlochy sketching and painting where she wrote in her diaries, 'I never saw a lovelier or more romantic spot.' Dining at 'Albert and Michel Roux Jr at Inverlochy Castle' is a culinary experience to savor, with the legendary father and son taking the kitchen's helm and offering the finest dishes using local produce. Dining is in three dining rooms, each decorated with period and elaborate furniture presented as gifts to Inverlochy Castle from the King of Norway, creating a unique experience in unrivaled surroundings. The menu features modern British cuisine with French influences, which is internationally recognized by all major guides. Having been awarded AA 3 Red Rosettes. The dress code for gentlemen for dinner in the restaurant is a jacket. Serving Light Lunch and Afternoon Tea in the Lounge and Dinner in the Restaurant. Whilst children are most welcome at Inverlochy Castle. It is respectfully asked that young children are kept from the Great Hall, and Drawing Room after six o'clock as the dinner service starts. Private Dining can be arranged for you and your family to dine privately together in the Library, the third dining room.
Accommodation - Each of the 17 bedrooms and suites has its own individual design and character, along with spectacular views of the grounds and private loch. The two-bedroom Gate Lodge is situated at the hotel entrance and offers splendid views of Ben Nevis. Room Facilities include 40" televisions " disguised as mirrors, personal safe, radio, free internet access, and DVD player available upon request. All rooms boast luxurious Peter Reed 400 thread count Egyptian cotton bed linen and Inverlochy Castle's bespoke range of Penhaligon's Quercus Toiletries.
There are various activities and attractions both at the hotel and close by. The hotel offers tennis, fishing on the loch, a walled garden, clay pigeon shooting, a Falconry display, and a full-sized billiard table. Nearby, Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the UK, cruises on Loch Ness, hiking, mountain biking, pony trekking, and skiing, with two ski centers to choose from. The small town of Fort William is only three miles away with a busy high street for gifts.

"A round of golf at Fort William Golf Course" - Fort William Golf Club is an 18 hole course measuring some 6200 yards off the white tee and 5464 yards off the yellow tee. You will not only enjoy the test of this challenging course but also experience the magic and splendor of the Lochaber scenery. Built in 1974 at the foot of Ben Nevis, the course offers a great day out for all types of golfers. In the past, the course was renowned for being wet due to the Lochaber rain, but major drainage works along with new paths, bridges, tee's and many new features over the last four years makes Fort William well worth a visit, even the West Coast weather has been great over the last few years. The 6th at Fort William is one of the finest par 3s in Scotland. Although a short hole measuring only 125 yards, it tests with heavy rough off the tee's front. A 15-foot burn surrounds the green with a bunker on either side and heavy rough and trees through the back.
