Established in 1858, the Kempinski Munich Vier Jahreszeiten was initially constructed for King Maximilian II. This grand hotel is famous for its luxurious city views, conveniently centrally located in Munich's heart. Moreover, the location on Maximilianstrasse is ideal as the famous Bavarian State Opera House is only a stone's throw away. Besides, some of the world's most luxurious shops surround it.
The world-renowned Hofbrauhaus is 350m away from the Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski München. The Hofbrauhaus was built in 1589 by Bavarian Duke Maximilian I. Moreover, it is one of the largest attractions for tourists in Germany.
The building's walls, rooms, and suites are with artwork from the Wittelsbach family. They are larger versions of the originals, especially for the Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski. However, the originals remain in the Old Pinakothek Museum in Munich.
This luxury hotel has 230 rooms and 67 suites; all rooms are deluxe rooms and feature Wi-Fi, televisions, and IPads for every guest. The Ludwig Suite is one of Europe's most prestigious suites, featuring veal leather flooring. It also has stunning ceiling art, the most luxurious materials, and two bedrooms.
The suite is 190 sqm, and on top of the two large bedrooms, you will also have access to a living room, dining room, a work desk, and private kitchen. On top of that, the suite also includes a sauna and Jacuzzi, so you have your built-in spa.
Another option for a sensational suite is the Theresien Suite, designed by Pierre Court Design New York. It features a sauna, antique furniture, a humidor, and an elegant wine refrigerator. On top of all this, it also has a private bar for guests to enjoy.
If guests are not looking for that much extravagance in their lives, they can opt for one of the deluxe junior suites or executive suites. There are even executive rooms for those who don't need an entire suite. The hotel is on six floors with many rooms, offering a breathtaking view of the Munich skyline. Besides, it is ideal for a romantic sunset or spectacular sunrise in the morning.
The Schwarzreiter Tagesbar is one of the prestigious restaurants in the hotel. The menu is of Bavarian cuisine. Besides, every single dish includes at least one traditional Bavarian ingredient or cooking method in its preparation.
Schwarzreiter Tagesbar comes from King Ludwig II, who loved to eat Scwarzreiter fish, and whose father built the structure in 1858. This restaurant has been recognized worldwide and awarded one Michelin Star. The property also features the Jahreszeiten Bar, "the most beautiful living room in Munich."
The ambiance is by the glass dome that depicts all four seasons of the year. The bar is known for its atmosphere and the patisseries that Chef Patissier Ian Baker and the team created. The treats include eclairs, tarts, and petit gateaux for all the guests to choose from.
What makes the restaurants and bars in the Hotel Kempinski Vier Jahreszeiten Munich stand out is their unique designs. The designs include the pebbled river mosaic in the entrance and the ceiling art in the Breakfast room made from Nymphenburg plates.
All guests are welcome to use the multitude of amenities that the hotel has to offer. The Kempinski Spa is located on the sixth floor for all patrons to utilize. One will enjoy the spectacular views of the Munich rooftops while lying on the sun terrace. A large pool, sauna, and some of the best workout equipment are also available.
The lodging-house also offers various massages for all the guests, and there is a complete beauty treatment regime to enjoy for the ladies. All amenities are included when guests book their stay in the lodging house. You can pay for any extras with a credit card. However, there is no daycare center or children's area, but there are plenty of things to keep them entertained.
The horse park, Equiland, is nearby, as is the Air hop trampoline park. If neither works for you, then the children's museum or Kindermuseum and Therme Erding Water Park should do the trick.
The hotel and its restaurants, part of the Kempinski Hotels, have won several awards, including the Hotel of the Year award in 2014 and the Top Employer in Germany that same year.
In 2013, it made the top 10 hotels list by Conde Nast Traveler, US, and won Best Service Excellence and Europe's Leading Grand Hotel. And in 2018, it won the Maitre d'Hotel of the Year award.
The facility has twelve function rooms that can host more than 500 guests at a time. These rooms are available for rent and are ideal for a private or corporate event. In addition, guests can request some of the hotel's culinary options, and all rooms feature state-of-the-art lighting to create the required mood.
These rooms are ideal for a wedding reception, business meeting, or end-of-year celebration. The lodgings can cater to all, with high-speed internet available in every guest area and an array of layouts available. The facility even has its special event coordinators to help make the experience exactly what the guest is looking to create.
The Hotel Kempinski Munich Vier Jahreszeiten is the perfect location for a stay if you visit Munich for the world-renowned Oktoberfest festival. Oktoberfest is the largest festival in the world, with more than 7.5 million visitors in 2017.
The English Garden is one of many parks close to this world-renowned facility. This park is more extensive than New York's famous Central Park and is a must-see for Munich's visitors.
There are many must-see sites in the hotel area, including Schwabing, the Olympic site, the Viktualienmarkt, and the fashion mile, Maximilianstrasse. If these don't interest you, there is always the Castle of Nymphenburg.
