Mandarin Oriental Marrakech

The Mandarin Oriental Marrakech is a 5-star luxury hotel and one of the more recently acquired properties of this globally renowned luxury hotel group. The combined exceptional talents of architects and designers Pascal Desprez, Patrick Gilles, and Dorothee Boissier create a lavish complex. This complex blends outstanding traditional and contemporary styles.

The resort spreads across 50 acres of rose-filled gardens, 54 villas, and 9 suites. It also provides a sumptuous haven just 10 minutes from the center of vibrant Marrakech.

Location

Marrakech is an essential city in central Morocco, North Africa. Moreover, it sits on a fertile plain with a backdrop of the majestic Atlas Mountains. Besides, the city is divided into modern and old cities, known as the medina. This is where visitors throng for local color and flavor.

Hotel guests may feel they are in a sanctuary far from these crowds. However, they are only a 20-minute ride from the airport. Also, the usual courtesy of the Mandarin Oriental group provides pickup service from there to the hotel.

The drivers from Mandarin Oriental Marrakech will also take guests on the short hotel-to-city trip for shopping. Moreover, they can explore the souks, medina markets, or nearby world-class golf courses.

Style and Hospitality

The Marrakech is different in style from usual hotel accommodations. It is entirely composed of spacious and ultra-luxurious private villas and suites. After a drive through the complex's fragrant garden entrance, fringed by quivering old olive groves, guests arrive in an opulent reception area.

The stunning contemporary décor, delineated in black and white, pays homage to traditional Berber and Moorish styles. Furthermore, these carry over into villas and suites. Additionally, the setting is the stuff of Arab poetry, with shimmering pools and fountains. Moreover, find roses entwined with jasmine and almond, and orange trees perfume.

Lapping waters and heady flower scents lull guests to sleep at night. Then, the reception and service are also at the highest level at all Mandarin Oriental hotels.

The Villas

Each opulent villa's design is in the style of a Moroccan riad but covers between 3000-4500 square feet, almost palatial in scale. The one or two-bedroom villas have many luxury features. These include private pools, courtyards, walled gardens, an outdoor living area with open fires, and lavish bathroom facilities.

The décor is modern with traditional touches of Berber rugs and fabrics, latticed screens, and tadelakt. Besides, ancient Morocco's fine lime plaster decorative techniques also add to it. Natural colors and fine furnishings combine with modern technologies to create a calming and soothing mood for guests.

Villa Specialties

The Mandarin Pool villa features an outdoor heated central swimming pool with a large lounging area and deep-comfort sofas with smothered cushions. Furthermore, trailing greenery and soft evening lighting give a romantic feel.

The vast white bathroom matches a generous-sized master bedroom with a circular tub and innovative double vanity units. Moreover, the Oriental Pool villas double the luxury with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, additional dining areas, and pools with a Jacuzzi set within walled gardens.

Guests who want to scale up to larger villas can choose a Mandarin Oriental villa. These connect-up accommodations provide three bedrooms and bathrooms with two pools, dining areas, and walled gardens.

The grand villas are four-bedroomed with walled courtyards and numerous luxury amenities. Outdoor fireplaces and cooking facilities with butler and chef services are available in some properties.

The Suites

Smaller than the villas, the suites are no less splendid with contemporary décor and Moorish touches, plunge pools, terraces, and views, plus luxury in-room amenities.

The atlas suites have fine mountain views, while the Panoramic suites overlook the beautiful private garden of 100,000 roses and beyond towards the mountains.

Royal, Infinity, and Penthouse Suites

The Royal is a two-bed, two-bath, and two-pool suite. Bathrooms feature steam baths, and views are towards the Atlas Mountains. Besides, the Infinity boasts a garden with a beautiful lap pool, hammam, two bedrooms, and bathrooms with steam showers.

The Penthouse is a vast eight-bed suite with magnificent views, several terraces, pools, and dining areas for ultimate luxury.

In-Villa/In-Room Dining

The Mandarin Oriental Marrakech provides an extensive first-class selection of all-day dining menus. Furthermore, lavish breakfasts start the day with American, Continental, Healthy Spa, or Berber. Enjoy fresh seasonal, locally sourced organic produce. These include fruits, juices, jams, honey, artisan bread and rolls, cereals, yogurts, eggs, and egg dishes.

All-day meals offer comprehensive regional and international menus, a complete wine list, and a drinks menu. Moreover, tea and pastries are an additional delight.

Restaurants and Bars

An exciting new dining experience is coming up for the Marrakech Mandarin Oriental. Shirvan Matisse Café has a themed sharing menu. The culinary treasures of journeys along the historic Silk Road route inspire this menu. Besides, the delicate spices and rich colors of the medina are the inspirations of the new restaurant.

A team from the successful Paris Shirvan Café, led by Chef Akrame Benallal, is set to transform the hotel restaurant into true Marrakech style. Drinkers can also appreciate the new Shirvan bar.

For those who do not want to leave the poolside, the pool garden restaurant offers light meals throughout the day and evening. Moreover, the hotel's organic produce is essential to the menus.

Ling Ling adds a lively and innovative alternative offering Cantonese dishes to complement the cocktail/drinks menu rather than the usual reverse style. Then, too, a DJ-engineered music soundtrack keeps things buoyant.

Spa and wellness

A spa is a unit of excellent facilities on a vast scale in keeping with the accommodation's grandness. With beautifully designed echoing Andalucian styles, the Spa offers ultra-luxurious wellness programs. These programs use the most refined products in several deluxe treatment rooms.

Men and women have separate facilities, including hammams, massages, and face and body therapies. In addition, there's an indoor pool, a Thai treatment suite, yoga, and fitness and relaxation areas. Moreover, hairdressing and a boutique are additional features of this lovely Spa.

Children

Children are welcome at the Mandarin Oriental Marrakech with special menus, kids' club and activity programs, games, and babysitting services.

Takeaway

Marrakech is an exciting place to explore. It entails an old city, narrow alleyways, markets, street food, and the beauty of the Atlas Mountains. Above all, the family-friendly Mandarin Oriental Marrakech offers the usual high standards for the group to book a stay within this lively city.
