The Mezzatorre Hotel is a unique and charming hotel that overlooks the Bay of Naples. The hotel has a long history, dating back to the early 1800s when it was first built. The hotel is on a cliffside, offering spectacular views of the ocean and the surrounding area. Moreover, the property has a private beach and several other amenities that guests can enjoy. The Mezzatorre Hotel is the perfect place to stay for those who want to experience the best of the Italian coastline.
The Mezzatorre Hotel is an exclusive resort with stunning ocean views and a private cove. This place is a magical retreat for the Italians in a quiet location on the island. However, it is only a short walk from the towns of Lacco Ameno and Forio. There are large outdoor spaces, a state-of-the-art SPA and Health and Beauty Center, and three indoor pools. There is also delicious Italian food with attentive and friendly service.
The property's heart is a Saracen tower. It houses the lobby, spa, seven suites, and a terrace bar with sea views. The remaining rooms are in smaller buildings across the grounds, amongst pines and Mediterranean scrub. This hotel appeals to tourists willing to pay high rates for their rooms. Moreover, the spa and romantic setting make it an attractive choice for couples.
The resort sits in a massive parkland on a cliff facing San Montano Bay in Naples. The property is at the end of a tree-lined street, flanked by a few other properties. Additionally, it is a 10-minute drive or shuttle ride from Lacco Ameno (a lively village in Ischia's northwestern region). Guests can also reach the Ischia Port in 20 minutes.
The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool with stunning views of the bay. It also has a direct connection to the sea via uneven stairs. The spa also has an indoor thermal pool. You can also arrange beauty and massage treatments in the spa or outside in white gazebos that overlook stunning sea views.
Additionally, there are two restaurants on the property. The formal Chandelier offers al-fresco dining on a terrace facing the sea and Sciue Sciue, a poolside restaurant serving quick meals and snacks. A heliport is also available for guests who wish to fly or take a shuttle to Lacco Ameno. Furthermore, all areas of the property have Wi-Fi available for free.
Marie-Louise Scio reopened the hotel with 52 guest rooms. It has been a popular destination for fashion and savvy Italians eager to try the new member of the Pellicano group. This hotel is the perfect place for glamorous Dolce Vita, just like its famous siblings (Il Pellicano Tuscany and La Poste Vecchia Rome). The hotel's pièce de résistance is its horseshoe terrace that overlooks the sea. Here, guests can spend the day swimming in the ocean and then relaxing in the thermal pools.
For al fresco cocktails, guests can gather under stylish scalloped umbrellas. Moreover, this coral-tinted hotel cleverly blends the traditional with modern design details like Pierre Frey fabrics accented by neutral tones, white, and cream.
The Mezzatorre Hotel has 52 rooms and suites. Several bungalows range from large cottages with two bedrooms to larger suites or double bedrooms with sea views. Bright, open, and neutral bedrooms have colorful custom-made runners attached to white linen beds. However, although bathrooms vary in design from one room to the next, all feature tubs. Some have large windows overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, while others are more functional.
This hotel is a great place to eat. There are two restaurants. La Baia, by the pool, offers a more casual option with delicious bowls of homemade pasta. It also has a variety of classics like Pomodoro and ragu.
La Torre is the second restaurant. It's the place for breakfast - homemade bread, salmon, pastries, and more. A fine-dining menu also features lobster, local grilled fish, veal, and slow-cooked rabbit.
Il Mezzatorre's Spa and Wellness Centre fully uses the island's thermal waters. It has a spring that flows into three hydrotherapy pools. The Mezzatorre hotel thermal spa is in the watchtower building and offers mind and body therapies. It also uses the thermal waters for mud therapies, perfect for treating many diseases like dermatitis and respiratory illness. Biologique Recherche and Santa Maria Novella products are also available in the spa.
Although there are no gym facilities, the Il Mezzatorre property offers a beautiful setting for jogging and walking, with stunning views and lush Mediterranean scrub. Tennis courts are also on the property.
The hotel has four pools: three indoor and one outdoor. One of the outdoor pools is heated with seawater, and steps lead down to a private beach. Moreover, you could easily spend the entire day here, with the variety of sun lounges and beverages and snacks from La Baia nearby. You can also relax in the warm thermal waters of our indoor pools.
Take some time to explore the La Mortella Gardens nearby. This is one of the most beautiful botanic gardens in the world. Lady Susana Walton created it to honor her husband, Sir William Walton. It opened up to the public nearly 30 years ago. For breathtaking 360-degree views, you could also hike to Mt Epomeo (start at Fontana).
The Mezzatorre Hotel & Thermal Spa is a five-star hotel located on the island of Ischia, in the Gulf of Naples. The hotel overlooks the Tyrrhenian Sea. Moreover, 10 acres of private gardens surround it, and it has a private beach. There is also a wide range of luxury amenities, including an outdoor pool, a spa, and a fitness center. This 16th-century watchtower is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Ischia.
