The Bahamas is a country that is known for its stunning beaches and turquoise waters. One of the best places to stay in the Bahamas is the Pink Sands Resort. The resort is truly a paradise. It has its own private coral sands beach, one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. There are also several activities that you can do at the resort, such as snorkeling and kayaking. This is a great place to have some fun and adventure.
Harbour Island Pink Sands Resort is the perfect place to relax or have an adventure. It's located on Harbour Island. This luxurious hideaway on the beachfront is surrounded by lush gardens and shaded with swaying palms. It offers a tranquil retreat that is scented by hibiscus blooms. Moreover, the resort's organic garden produces delicious fruits, vegetables, and herbs used in restaurants. This resort is famous for its world-class cuisine, exciting watersports, offsite charters, and charming cottages with sparkling private pools. However, it is the pink sand beaches that take the cake.
Stay in one of 29 luxury villas, cottages, or homes with stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. Also, enjoy a relaxing massage and cool coconut water while you want the beautiful sights on the island.
You will find a charming cottage with Bahamian furniture and wooden beam ceilings. Then, you can walk to the pastel-pink beaches surrounded by turquoise waters. This tranquil resort is a haven for urban dwellers. It offers authentic Caribbean hospitality. Enjoy the morning snorkeling or scuba diving. You can browse British colonial-style books in the afternoon and relax by the freshwater pool at sunset.
The fun part about getting there is the journey itself. Harbour Island is a small island measuring 3.5 miles in length and 1.5 miles in width. It is located two miles east of Eleuthera Island's northern coast. It is a part of the "Out Islands," the Bahamas. Besides, it is approximately 50 miles from Nassau, with a population of around 2,000 residents.
Moreover, North Eleuthera Airport is about 20 minutes away from Nassau. Take a taxi from here to the Harbour Island boat. Another taxi will take you to Pink Sands resorts once on the island.
For an additional fee, guests who would prefer to be accompanied by a representative from the hotel can request this before their arrival. The rep will meet them at the airport and then take them to the hotel. You can also take a ferry to Nassau from the airport. But, the ferry can take up to 2.5 hours and is quite expensive.
Furthermore, Bay Street's main hub is a short walk from the dock. This is where you can see lobster fishermen bringing in their catch every day.
The resort's staff is exemplary, and they are warmly friendly. A private beach is available to guests. There is also snorkeling and kayaking equipment, boogie boards, and kayaks that guests can borrow to explore the Pink Sands' off-shore reefs.
Guests can also arrange for massages, and off-island excursions can also be arranged. Plus, hire a golf cart to explore Harbor Island's many charms.
Only 29 cottages are scattered across the property. Each cottage is individually named. Most units have one bedroom, though a few have two bedrooms for larger families or groups. All cottages include California king beds, stocked minibar, air conditioning units, and flat-screen TVs. There are also Bose sound systems, iPods, and espresso makers. Plus, modern bathrooms feature open-style showers and double vanity sinks.
The cottages come with private patios and teak furniture. There are also flashlights available for late-night walks to beaches. The cottages have three sides with screens and screened doors with sliding shutters. The ocean view cottages are more expensive but have direct ocean views. They also have private walking trails that lead to pink sand beaches.
Moreover, garden view cottages have a shared beach walking path. Two-bedroom cottages have living/dining rooms. The Bimini Cottage is a deluxe cottage. It has its hot tub on the deck and lounge chairs.
Banyan Tree is also available. This is a three-bedroom home with a guest house nearby. They call it the Mother-in-Law Suite. This guest house shares an outdoor courtyard with a sitting area, fire pit, and an outdoor plunge pool.
Pink Sands Resort prides itself on its "from-hook-to-plate" philosophy. The resort offers fresh seafood from local waters and delicious dishes prepared with organic produce.
